Meet Dr. Peter Vogen

Dr. Peter Vogen
Dr. Peter Vogen is originally from central Illinois, spending portions of his childhood in Austria and Virginia before returning to Illinois. He earned his undergraduate degree in philosophy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign before moving to the deserts of the Southwest to attend dental school at Midwestern University - CDMA in Glendale, Arizona. There, he was honored to be selected for the United States Army’s scholarship program and was commissioned into the Army Reserve.
Following dental school, Dr. Vogen spent the next seven years on active duty. He completed an advanced education residency in general dentistry at his first duty station in South Carolina and was subsequently selected for specialty training at the Fort Bragg Endodontic Residency Program in North Carolina. Dr. Vogen’s final assignment was to Fort Sill, Oklahoma where he served as the chief of the endodontic department for the Comanche AEGD Residency Program with an appointment as an assistant professor for the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences Postgraduate Dental College.
With a growing family and a desire to set down more permanent roots, Dr. Vogen made the decision to leave active service. He and his wife had come to love Oklahoma while stationed at Fort Sill and was happy for the opportunity to join Dr. Mike Strand and Dr. David Woodard as a member of the Broken Arrow Endodontics team.
Dr. Vogen is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, the Oklahoma Dental Association, and the Tulsa County Dental Society.
When he isn’t doing root canals, Dr. Vogen enjoys dabbling in a variety of interests including the shooting sports, drawing, photography, and cooking. He still has a soft spot for philosophy too, and loves a good conversation delving into ethics, metaphysics, or theology. Mostly though, you’ll find him spending time with his wife Sherah—an optometrist and the other Dr. Vogen of the family—and their two wonderful daughters.
